Why I’m offering a scholarship

Last year I was thinking about how I wanted to run my business this year. I LOVE what I do, so much that when I don’t get to do it I feel antsy, frustrated and a little stifled. How awesome is that?

I also knew I needed to raise my prices, but when I was thinking about raising them, it always came back as a feeling of leaving some people out. Some people simply don’t have the funds right now to pay, and it has nothing to do with their ability to be awesome clients, friends or forces of good in the world.

I couldn’t in good conscience leave those wonderful people out by raising my prices, so I started thinking. In school, when someone has the potential and the willingness to work hard along with the desire to make the world better, what do we do? We give them a scholarship.

Quite frankly, I don’t understand why more businesses don’t do this. Especially businesses that work in the metaphysical or holistic health industry. I know so many small business owners who keep their fees low in order to make sure they can help everyone, but then there’s a long wait, or they can barely meet their own needs. That’s not abundance.

I also believe what I do is SO important, I’m willing to take on someone for free every month in order to make sure that I can help everyone possible, regardless of their ability to draw in financial abundance right now. So, I’m taking on at least one client a month who is on scholarship.

The intuition is the BEST gift we have on this earth. It allows us to make good decisions in the face of insurmountable odds. It allows us to stay true to our highest good and learning and it allows us to be engaged in the world in so many empowering ways. My mission is to help people learn how to tap into that power.

I expect to need to increase it again, if demand continues to increase the way it has been recently.
