Hi Armani! Thank you for all the work you do!

My question is difficult to articulate, so I hope I manage well enough.

I am in the process (every day) of breaking a multi-generational cycle of abuse and trauma on both sides of the family, excepting my mother.

I am having so much trouble controlling my temper. I feel as if I yell on a daily basis. I know there are triggers that still need to be dismantled, and I am seeing a therapist but I don’t even know where to start.

I am afraid I am hurting [my children] in the same ways I was hurt almost every moment of the mothering experience.

I want to live in love instead of fear.

How can I stay present with my children in an atmosphere of love and playfulness instead of frustration and control?

Thank you!!

Rachel A.

Dear Rachel,

We feel your desire to express love to your children and make sure they are cared for.

First, we want to communicate that you are not hurting your children in the ways that you were hurt as a child.

The awareness of your own trauma and the intention of healing are two of the biggest gifts you are giving your children at this time.

We recommend starting by loving yourself deeply in all circumstances. Love yourself deeply when you yell. Love yourself deeply when you do the “right” thing (by your own standards.)

Deep self-love and self-compassion paired with the mindfulness of correcting perceptions that have been handed down from generations will allow you to demonstrate love to your children — and not just the pretty parts of love, but the kind of unconditional self-love that will allow you and your children to build a life that is resilient, loving and aligned.

When it comes to living in love, always start with yourself first.

Hi Erin Ashley and Armani!

Thanks for the opportunity to ask a question. I have lots of ideas and things I enjoy doing. I feel stuck with knowing what direction I should go with my career. It definitely feels like a sticking place for me!

Brenda

Hello Brenda,

We are pleased you asked this question.

When you are gifted with many ideas and passions, it is best to allow yourself to play. Give yourself permission to play with your passions and dream of the possibilities. Allow yourself to develop and grow organically toward the things that light you up, that sustain you energetically and that can bring you financial security.

Trust the process and that all will unfold effortlessly. Keep an intention that you can and will have a career that’s fulfilling and as you play, you’ll see opportunities to explore all around you.

Follow that feeling of aligned impulse – follow the spark of desire!

Hi Armani,

I am feeling stuck in the mud.

My divorce has stalled, my new relationship is great but I have a gut feeling that he’s not going to be able to step up and be a partner in all things, my job is fine but I feel like I could be earning so much more.

I’m tired and worn down and don’t feel like I’m making any progress with my life.

It’s been a hard road and last year I felt like I made great progress but right now I’m feeling seriously stuck.

What do I need to know right now?

Elisa

Dearest Elisa,

You are enough.

Find the places in your life where you already feel like you are enough, where you feel you are doing enough, where you feel like you have enough.

These are the places that you’ll want to focus your attention and allow the energy to grow.

You are exactly where you need to be at this time, and it’s safe for you to recognize the enough-ness of this moment in time.

Hi Erin-Ashley and Armani,

Could you please let me know what my biggest blocks are in manifesting my dream life? (There’s so much more I want to ask, but I feel guided to just ask this.)

Thank you.

Leah S.

Dear Leah,

Your biggest block is in believing there is a block!

What if there was no block? What would you allow yourself to be/do/have then?

So many people who simply haven’t taken the time or energy to tune into what they want in this moment will look for a block, and what do you know?

You find what you look for.

Look for the flow, the magic, the excitement, the miracles!!! Look for the clear path that has ease and fulfillment in it!

It is a much more fun way to travel.
